Nepal: Made with entirely handcarded, handspun wool. This rug is one of a collection of rugs designed by contemporary American artists. These designs are delivered to the Tibetan weavers in their Nepali workshop. The result: transcendental rugs that meld traditional techniques and modern design. I think they have succeeded in their mission "to combine the ancient art of Tibetan hand-knotting with original, contemporary design to create an evolving collection of rugs crafted with structural and artistic integrity." This rug is available in all standard sizes: 2’x3’, 4’x6’, 5’x7’, 6’x9’, 8’x10’, 9’x12’, 10x14’ and 8’ or 10’ runners.
