Pakistan: Made using natural dyes and handspun wool and a very fine weave of over 200 knots per inch. This spectacular rug has the distinct designs and colors of a classic Mamluk rug. The Mamluk Sultanate ruled over Egypt from 1250 to 1517. The design of this rug can be traced back to rugs from this period.
