Pakistan: Made using natural dyes and handspun wool. These fabulous rugs are modeled after the famous 19th century production of Oushak rugs from Turkey. Oushak rugs (also spelled Ushak or Usak) originated in the small town of Oushak in west central Anatolia, roughly 100 miles directly south of the city of Istanbul in Turkey. Oushak has produced some of the most decorative Persian influenced rugs of all times. These carpets have always been in very high demand by decorators and designers. Our new Oushak rugs are woven in Pakistan with all natural dyes and lanolin rich hand spun, hand carded wool. These are some of the nicest carpets we import.
